Michael Goodine

Kim Jwa-jin was an anarchist who fought against Japanese imperialism in the early twentieth century. His biography is fascinating, and he is best known, I guess, for leading Korean forces at the Battle of Qingshanli in Manchuria in 1920. He was assassinated in 1930. This site is his birthplace. It contains replica \hanok\ styles homes in the style of his time which are interesting to see even if you aren't interested in his personal history. Also present is a shrine and a museum. The museum was temporarily closed when we visited (Feb, 2018). It is all very quiet and the rural surroundings are pleasant. Free admission.

한국인이 좋아하는 10대 민족운동가에 속한다. 청산리 전투로 유명하고 우물. 부엌. 감나무. 뒤주. 헛간 등 생가의 건물이 정스럽고 기념관 역시 그의 역사적 연대표와 행적이 잘 나타나 있다. 홍성에 간다면 한용운 기념관과 들러 보기를 추천한다.
