Gontang restaurant selected as bib gourment of the guide Michelin. You need to order first and take a seat. Regular Gomtang is 13,000 won, and large size Gomtang is 15,000 won. Unlike other Gomtang, this place's Gomtang is less oily, which is way better. Just like other Gomtang, they have rice inside the stew. The kimchi they offer is quite sweeter than other places.

The place is quite pricey but its name is highly regarded amongst the locals as a place with its own history. It wasn't really special in my opinion.
Hadong-kwan, Korean traditional beef stew restaurant. One of the famous place in Myung-dong, Seoul. If you want to eat Korean traditional beef stew, don't miss it. However it opens from 7 a.m to 4 p.m, so you must hurry to taste it.
Loving the simple korean dish here. It serves the simplest of dishes, boiled beef and pork. You'd be surprised how nice these taste though Upon walking into this 80 plus year old restaurant, you'd be asked to order your meal and pay for it upfront. Thereafter you'd be given a card to indicate your seat. Food is served within minutes. There is a chunk of chives to complement tou meal... please take more of it coz it really makes the meal taste nicer!! Food is overall good whilst prices are on a high side, about SGD20 to SGD40 per person.
Best gomtang in Korea but don't go to that branch. They give you way less meat than in other branches (like yeoudio for example)
It's definitely a delicious soup, very simple beef broth with rice and thin strips of beef (you can add intestines as well), it tastes simple and cozy. The radish kimchi though is the showstopper. Sweet, perfectly flavored and a good texture for biting hahaa. I would go again for the radish kimchi haha.

Healthy and clean eating! Clear beef broth served with hearty portion of beef. Add plenty of green onions provided to maximise the flavour. Been serving over 80 years of good food. Always busy so try to avoid lunch or dinner rush to avoid queuing.
