I thought the tours were great and I thought that it was really convenient and I saved money on transportation. The staff were also very friendly. However, the tour was only offered in Korean, the only information offered to the English speakers were pamphlets.

Most of the time was spent on the bus. We could not see the Grotto because by the time the bus got up the mountain, there was a line 300 metres long of people waiting to go through. In all we went to 5 sites and stopped for a long time for lunch in a village. The village offered several restaurants but all seemed to be serving the same limited choices. I cannot recommend this tour.
This is a very good one day tour - showing you burial mounds outside the city, Tumuli park, Bulguksa temple, Seogurum buddha grotto and Bunhwangsa (and more). Reasonable price - but book directly. Through an agency you get charged a handling fee. The tour would get 5 stars but is solely delivered in Korean with little accommodation for non Korean speakers. A little annoying.
Somewhere in this neighborhood, I stopped into a local small dinning area back in 1999 and had Poshen-tang, dog meat stew. It was good.
