Maybe good place to visit for younger generation. As a middle aged person with Korean background, mostly what I used to use/see or still can see at my parents/ grandparents' home. There were photos interested me but they stopped us to go into the area because there was a kids' activities in the area. - so the visit was for nothing; waste of money. I was quite upset as they failed to clearly inform us; but still happy to give 3 stars as younger people still can find some fun there.
The frontage of the location is the costume rental show window and the entrance could be easily missed. Exhibit is in the upper level from the street, in the converted home. This is a great place to see the transition of modern time Seoul through the everyday furniture and tools and utensils average Seoulites used from 19101970s before the contemporary consumerism rejected and eradicated the traditional Korean life style as if shabby old timers. Most of the items are saved by the private collector, Dir. Lee, Kyung-ae, who saw the rapid changes in the area since 2000 when things were thrown out from the easement of zoning bylaws of the long time preservation area, where the high rise buildings were restricted due to the close proximity to Chongwadae, the President office. I truly enjoyed the place, and, enjoyed the long conversation with Dir. Lee, and adore her enthusiasm. There is also a young female staff who can speak English for help. But much of the insight of the history should be translated from Dir. Lee. Go talk to her.

우리나라 780년대 생활상은 엿볼 수 있는 곳입니다. 불과 40년전의 우리들 모습, 그렇지만 왠만한 아이들은 전혀 상상하지도 못하는, 우리들의 과거생활.... 아이들과 한번쯤 다녀 올 만한 곳 북촌 나들이에 낑가 보세여ㅋㅋ
