Lovely restaurant serving Japanese casual meals in a Korean traditional house 'Hanok'. Staff is very attentive and well-trained and the ambience is nice. Not so much variety when it comes to the menu, however consider this is quite good standard in this neighborhood. Decent taste of food, good portion and reasonable price.

Recommendable for those who look for casual Japanese daily foods in a fancy environment. Not recommendable for those who look for authentic Japanese palates. A bit pricey.

Great japanese style food at old hanoakjip (antique korean traditional house).

The food was pretty good- the salmon sashimi was really fresh, the katsu was great, uni pasta was also nice. Everything was okay except for a few weird things- they ran out of the ingredients for a dish when i went there about one and a half hour after opening, and they gave an avocado that was sooooo unripe and hard that we couldnt eat a single piece, but argued it was just how that avocado was supposed to be when it’s ripe. Overall, good food but a little odd.

Meat and fish-heavy dishes. They were reluctant to remove the fish eggs from the pasta claiming it would lose the taste (yeah, the fish taste that I didn't want anyway), but eventually they agreed to put it on the side. The noodles had plenty of flavor bc of the spiced oil it laid in, but the portion was light. And there are no appetizers, so it was hard to select an additional item to avoid leaving hungry. Also bc it's a hanok-style restaurant, it's popular and people were waiting outside for a table. So you can't really take your time enjoying the meal with friends without feeling guilty that you're making others wait.
