Was fully booked on a weekday and at 530pm, but the manager managed to get us a table. Great food and service. Do make reservations.

Our driver was having difficulty finding this traditional-style Korean restaurant located on an obscure alley in a busy area so we called them and asked for directions. When it became clear we would not easily locate it the proprietor offered to come out and meet us in an easier -to-find intersection. As she walked us back she explained that her husband built the multi- story building housing the restaurant and now teaches the technique of this traditional construction. She was incredibly nice as was all of the staff that waited on us attentively in our private room with traditional Korean table and seating. The meal was delicious and overwhelming We chose from one of four prix fixe menus. The price was reasonable. There must have been more than a dozen courses including many accompaniments such as kimchi and a great variety of paired sauces. One of the specialties was marinated raw crab which was delicious. During the meal a woman who was making the rounds came in playing a stringed instrument and singing a bit oddly but I'm guessing a traditional song. This was perhaps a bit too intimate as I felt as if I had to give her my full attention. Dessert too was unusual. It was a cold soupy fruit conviction which really grew on me as I ate it. This place is definitely worth a try if you can find it!

My daughter married into a wonderful Korean family and it was our responsibility to provide the meeting of the families dinner. All of our family coming from the USA and my son-in-law's family from the Seoul area. This was quite an under taking since I live in Chicago. I wanted to give my family an authentic Korean experience while honoring(yes impressing) my new inlaws. They gave us a room to ourselves-it was so beautiful I cant describe. The tables were close to the floor but had a place for your legs so not uncomfortable for my almost 80 year old mother. The meal came in courses(like 12) and kept coming each more beautiful and tasty than the previous. The owners were very accommodating through email in arranging this meal. I thought the price was very reasonable for what you got, the great location etc... it was a little hidden gem in the Myeoungdong area close to all the shopping etc... It has been a year this past August-2018 since this meal and I will keep it in my memory forever. You will not regret going here-wonderful!!!!

The restaurant is located in a bustling area of \u200b\u200bSeoul and is hard to find. Once inside we find a traditional Korean house with rooms where you can eat comfortably. The food is typically Korean and very good. We take a set of several dishes at a fixed price. The attention is excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant. A woman in typical dress plays traditional music with a kind of harp. In summary, it deserves a visit if you are in Seoul.A place hard to find, even with Google help. Once found, we were surprised and enchanted with the traditional settings and atmosphere. We had 3 choices for set menus, 55usd, 63usd, and 75usd. 4 of us chose 55 set menu. At the end of dinner, we all felt it was a great dining experience in Korean traditional dining. Most customers were Korean. A diamond in the midst of the bustling Myeong-dong walking area.

We found this place hidden in an alley behind the police station in Myeongdong. we were impressed with the traditional Korean style of the restaurant. There is no a la carte menu, they only had set menus, the cheapest was 45000 Won (about 45 dollars ) per person plus drinks and they went up from there but the menus didn't seam t change much. The food was okay, some things were inedible (for me anyway) ... one was a shelled seafood which was really hard and crunch and really gross. some other stuff was really good, they had a beef carpaccio and some noodles and really good salad and also really good grilled beef skewer. It was plenty of food and the service was good, I just felt like the price was a bit much for the menu. They had a musician play a traditional instrument which offered more of a nice traditional feel, but it was only for a few minutes and then she never came back. I would recommend this to visitors.
