The Re-shaping Development Institute (ReDI) was founded in 2011 with the goal to provide alternative ideas as an evidence-based think-and-do-tank for international development on every level, be it projects, policies, and systems. We work in partnership with both Korean and international organizations and research institutes and focus on three main modalities of policy research, evaluation and project planning. Since its establishment, ReDI has been venturing to re-shape the structure of development, re-think conventional development theories, and finally to reform policies to challenge the principles of development itself, as an international think-and-do-tank. Our perspective is that sustainable and fundamental change is not possible without addressing the structural issues of development and the negative aspects of globalization and neo-liberalism. We aim to create change through research that has the power to influence not only developmental policies but also change people’s perspectives by educating them on alternative ideas in this field.
