Speakeasy is a small bi-monthly, bi-lingual magazine and party circuit in Seoul that aims to bring Koreans and foreigners together to exchange art, culture, and ideas. The magazine publishes essays, fiction, poetry, photography, interviews, artwork, cartoons, and anything else that can go on a page. Each issue takes a theme, to which all content is somehow related. This is very open to interpretation, however. Parties aim to bring together Seoul denizens from all backgrounds and to feature some of the city's best up-and-coming artistic talent. Past events have featured bands, DJs, VJs, animators, graffiti artists, and traditional Korean musicians. Speakeasy is a non-profit organization.
