There are tons of sub par bakeries in Seoul with super sugary, over processed, cream filled sorry excuses for bread. Tartine is an oasis in this sea of terrible bread. By far some of the best sourdough in the country. The croissants are wonderfully flaky, fresh and perfectly tender inside. It makes my mouth water to even think of it now. The breakfast sandwich is basic, but freshly made with excellent ingredients and flavorful. The space itself is open, airy, and full of natural light. There are a few communal seating areas as well as tables. The coffee is coffee, nothing too special, but then again, it’s a bakery and not a cafe. The products are excellent and you will absolutely pay a premium for them, a price that is honestly worth it. Best time to go is early on a weekend morning when you can chill out when it’s still mostly empty and look into the open kitchen as the courteous staff prepares food for the day. Good products, good service, high prices, but worth it.

its beyond my expectation!!!! the food was superb!!!! all of it!! Actually i dont like something top sweet but the bread pudding, cake and coffee is not too sweet which is perfect for me. The price is quite pricy but it is sooooo worth it! TRUST ME! But they dont have many spot to sit, esp if you more than 6 person.
Omg, one of the best (& my fav) San Francisco bakeries in the heart of Seoul??? I loved that they had the Tartine’s signature item (and my fav) banana cream pie, in an individual size! (I kinda ate the whole thing in one sitting ), and a real San Francisco sourdough bread, made me so happy and feel a little homesick... The bakery is beautifully done, and was super busy.
the staff are super nice and attentive—they made me a sandwich when they saw that the one i’d wanted had sold out the sandwich itself was okay but not amazing—everyone talks about tartine’s bread, but the crust was a bit tough and chewy i may return to try their famous pastries
Simply tasty bakery cafe. You can have fresh bread everyday and it's really tasty but bit pricey. Huge size cafe has just some of tables on 2nd floor.
Not bad but the bakery which located in SF is better than here.
GET THE BANANA CRÈME TART ! So delicious, it reminded me of Southern banana pudding it was rather busy, so there weren't that many places to sit, but if you go at an off time you can probably find a table. They also weren't very close to a subway station, so I wish it was better located.
The bread is good here, no doubt about that. Loved the sourdough, which is hard to find in Seoul. Didn’t have baguettes but the sandwiches looked scrumptious! Croissants and other baked goods were really good too, not too far from American pastries. But price and service takes away from the experience a bit. It’s bread! What can you possibly put in it to justify such prices? Also, service was nice enough when I went, but obviously clunky—they forgot my sourdough bread order but charged for it. If I didn’t check right after I walked out the door, I would have went home without the main point of visiting the bakery. Still, unique bakery with yummy bread. Would love to go try the sandwiches.
